Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Contract Frontend Engineer (Remote) to build and maintain user interfaces for web applications. You’ll implement responsive, accessible designs, integrate with backend systems, and optimize frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to turn UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture discussions

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with responsive design experience
• Frontend framework experience: React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Experience with Git
• Build tools experience: Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Testing experience with Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
