Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Contract Frontend Engineer working remotely (work from anywhere). You’ll build and maintain user interfaces for web applications, focusing on responsive, accessible design, backend integration, and frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive and accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to convert UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with responsive design experience
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Experience with Git (version control)
• Knowledge of frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, or Vite)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, or Cypress)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
