Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Contract Frontend Engineer working remote (work from anywhere in the U.S.) to build and maintain user interfaces for web applications. You’ll implement responsive, accessible UI, integrate with backend systems, and help optimize frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive and accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture discussions

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including responsive design
• Experience with frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Experience with version control (preferably Git)
• Knowledge of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Contract Details

• $40–$50/hour
