Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Contract role to develop and maintain user interfaces for web applications.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to convert UI/UX wireframes into production-quality code.
Optimize frontend performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and follow best practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.

Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with strong responsive design experience.
Experience with a frontend framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.
Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API).
Experience with version control (preferably Git).
Knowledge of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite.
Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
