Role Overview

Frontend Software Engineer (Remote, Contract)

You’ll develop and maintain user interfaces for web applications, implementing responsive and accessible designs, integrating with backend systems, and optimizing frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate UI/UX wireframes into production-ready code.
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with experience in responsive design.
• Experience with frontend frameworks: React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API).
• Experience with version control, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Babel, or Vite).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
