Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Frontend Engineer (Contract, Remote) to develop and maintain user interfaces for web applications. You’ll implement responsive, accessible UI, integrate with backend systems, and optimize frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate UI/UX wireframes into production code
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with responsive design experience
• Frontend framework experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong understanding of web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Version control experience, preferably Git
• Build tool knowledge such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Testing experience with Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
