Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Frontend Engineer (Remote) for a contract engagement, building and maintaining user interfaces for web applications. You’ll implement responsive and accessible UI, integrate with backend systems, and optimize frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to translate UI/UX wireframes into production-ready code
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with experience in responsive design
• Experience with a frontend framework: React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Experience with version control, preferably Git
• Knowledge of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
