Frontend Engineer (Remote)

Role Overview

Contract Frontend Engineer (Remote) to build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces for web applications. You’ll translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code, integrate with backend systems, and help optimize frontend performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, accessible frontend components using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Collaborate with designers and backend engineers to implement UI/UX designs
• Optimize application performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
• Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 with responsive design experience
• Experience with a frontend framework: React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and cross-browser compatibility
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API)
• Experience with Git or similar version control
• Knowledge of frontend build tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with testing frameworks: Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
