Frontend Engineer (React, TypeScript)

Role Overview

Frontend Engineer focused on building and scaling shared frontend libraries and components for the Phantom Crypto Wallet. You will help improve user experience and streamline development across teams, collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build, own, and promote shared frontend libraries and reusable components to ensure consistency and speed up development across teams.
• Drive frontend performance improvements (e.g., bundle size optimization and rendering efficiency) and establish frontend architecture best practices.
• Maintain and enhance the design system (robustness, documentation, and tight integration into development workflows).
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver new features, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall user experience.
• Champion frontend best practices, code quality, and performance standards across the organization.
• Stay current with frontend technologies and trends to continuously improve the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience with a focus on frontend.
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with data fetching, caching, and effective application state management.
• Demonstrated interest in open-source and community-driven platforms.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Keen interest in blockchain technology.
