Frontend Engineer (React & TypeScript)

Role Overview

You’ll join Phantom’s engineering team to build and maintain shared frontend libraries for the Phantom Crypto Wallet. The role focuses on improving frontend architecture and ensuring a cohesive user experience as the wallet scales to support multiple chains.

Responsibilities

• Build, own, and promote shared frontend libraries and reusable components to accelerate development and keep UX consistent across teams.
• Improve frontend performance by reducing bundle sizes and optimizing rendering efficiency.
• Maintain, enhance, and evangelize the design system (robust, well-documented, and integrated into frontend workflows).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on scalable, maintainable frontend architecture.
• Champion frontend standards through mentorship and continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry trends to introduce innovative solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development.
• Proficiency in React and TypeScript, including component architecture, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience with data fetching, caching, and effective application state management.
• Demonstrated interest in open-source and community-driven platforms.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
