Frontend Engineer (React.js)

Role Overview

Principal Frontend Engineer (React.js) to lead and enhance a SaaS frontend platform as the company scales rapidly. You will be the primary UI development expert, shaping the technical direction and ensuring fast delivery of high-quality features.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the frontend architecture and codebase for scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Develop and ship end-to-end features with a strong focus on quality and UX
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to turn ideas into intuitive interfaces
• Establish and promote lightweight development patterns, tooling, and best practices
• Identify and address technical debt strategically
• Mentor and lead engineers with hands-on guidance and foster a collaborative culture
• Help shape engineering culture and processes as the team grows

Qualifications

• 8+ years building modern web applications
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript
• Strong product instincts with a focus on user experience
• Proven ability to own frontend systems in early-stage or high-growth startups
• Ability to make fast decisions and iterate quickly under uncertainty
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, state management, and architecture tradeoffs
• Experience working closely with designers and backend engineers in small, dynamic teams
• Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts and lead discussions
