Frontend Engineer (React, Angular)

Role Overview

Join Ellipsis Health as a Frontend Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern web applications used by healthcare professionals and patients. You’ll partner with backend engineers, product designers, and AI specialists to turn complex workflows into responsive, intuitive user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of user-facing web features with strong responsiveness, accessibility, and usability
• Collaborate with designers and product managers to convert wireframes/mockups into functional UI
• Optimize frontend code for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Maintain UI/UX consistency using company design standards
• Integrate frontend components with backend REST APIs to support seamless data flow
• Mentor junior developers and support continuous learning
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment
• Stay current with industry trends and adopt new technologies

Requirements

• 5+ years of front-end development experience building scalable, modern web applications
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks, especially React (preferred); also Vue.js or Angular
• Deep understanding of state management (Redux, MobX, or Zustand)
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, particularly backend services built with Node.js
• Proficiency with build tooling (Webpack or Vite) and Git
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally; experience mentoring is a plus

Nice to Have

• Frontend testing: Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library
• CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployment
• Knowledge of healthcare workflows/interfaces
• Familiarity with Latin American work environment (preferred)
