Role overview

Grow Therapy is hiring a Frontend Engineer, Platform to build the foundational web layer that powers all product teams. You will own the design system and the horizontal web foundation—shared components, patterns, architecture, and tooling that help other teams ship consistent, high-quality experiences.

As Grow consolidates into a modern Next.js architecture and launches a new consumer brand, your platform work will make other teams faster and keep the experience cohesive as the company scales.

Responsibilities

Own and evolve the design system: architecture, tokens, theming, governance, and product-team patterns (in partnership with Design Engineering).
Build the horizontal web foundation: shared components, frameworks, and architecture that other teams build on.
Improve performance, accessibility, and consistency across all web surfaces.
Develop tooling and developer experience, including an AI-forward approach to frontend development.
Partner with product and engineering teams to integrate platform capabilities into their workflows and feed improvements back from real product needs.
Create documentation and guidance to make platform capabilities easy to adopt.

Requirements

5+ years of frontend or full-stack engineering experience.
Experience building or scaling design systems, component libraries, or shared frontend infrastructure with horizontal impact.
Product sensibility to build platform features people will actually use.
Proficiency in modern frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, CSS systems.
Systems thinking: simplify complexity, design for reuse across teams.
Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and web performance.
Comfortable with AI-assisted development and using AI tools in daily work and interviews.
Clear communication and ability to influence engineering/UI standards across teams.
Founder’s mindset: ownership, speed, pragmatism, bias toward action.

Nice to have

Experience with experimentation/feature flagging, localization (i18n), or accessibility tooling at the systems level.
Monorepo/frontend build tooling experience (e.g., Turborepo, Nx, Vite).
Background as a product engineer before moving toward platform work.
