About the role
Role Overview
Frontend-first engineer for Nex’s Marketing & Digital Experience. You’ll own and evolve the marketing site—the CMS, component library, performance, and polish—so customers can discover and fall in love with the product.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the marketing site: CMS, component library, frontend architecture, and analytics integrations.
- Collaborate with Design and Marketing to build and maintain customer-facing web experiences (landing pages, campaign builds, commerce integrations) that are polished, performant, and on-brand.
- Partner with Design/Marketing/Publishing to improve the content publishing pipeline so updates are fast without engineering dependency.
- Build and maintain lightweight integrations and tooling connecting third-party services, CX tools, and external APIs.
- Focus on performance and user experience, including Core Web Vitals and smooth CMS workflows.
- Develop and maintain the Web Design System and component libraries to keep UI consistent and scalable.
Requirements
- Frontend engineering experience with strong attention to web craft, pixel-level detail, and performance.
- Ability to take end-to-end ownership of a web experience that is highly visible to users.
- Experience building/maintaining production web components and CMS-driven experiences.
Nice to Have
- Experience with design systems and component-library development.
- Experience with analytics integrations and performance optimization (e.g., Core Web Vitals).
Contract / Logistics
- Location: Remote (USA & Canada only)
- Type: 3-month contract with potential FTE conversion
- Reports to: Engineering Manager
- Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 annual
