Frontend Engineer (Js, TypeScript)

Role Overview

Frontend Engineer to build and improve the user interfaces for GiveCard. You will work across both:

• Admin tools used by organizations distributing funds
• Cardholder-facing web applications accessed by people receiving aid

As a hands-on individual contributor, you’ll ship meaningful features, iterate based on real-world feedback, and ensure accessibility and usability standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy frontend features used daily by enterprises, nonprofits, governments, and individuals
• Deliver consistent UX across admin and cardholder interfaces
• Ship iteratively, balancing speed and quality, and improve based on user feedback and testing
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement polished features
• Write clean, maintainable TypeScript and Vue code to improve frontend code quality
• Maintain high standards for accessibility, usability, and performance
• Learn and adopt GiveCard’s stack, gradually taking more ownership of frontend components

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional frontend experience
• Vue.js and TypeScript proficiency in production environments
• Strong frontend fundamentals: component architecture, state management, API integration
• Experience building responsive, user-friendly interfaces
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, and backend engineers
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and learning new systems quickly
• Strong attention to detail and pride in writing high-quality, maintainable code
• Genuine interest in technology with social impact
