Frontend Engineer (Js, TypeScript)

Role Overview

Lead Front-End Engineer to design and build scalable, maintainable, high-performance front-end architecture for a React/Redux single-page application. You’ll partner with product managers and leadership in a startup environment, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and refine product requirements and specifications
• Lead development of a React/Redux single-page application using best practices and high-quality code
• Make front-end architectural decisions and choose design patterns/front-end libraries to optimize performance and maintainability
• Ensure comprehensive testing via unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain industry standards
• Coordinate with other engineering teams to deliver features on time and to spec
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement
• Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• 3+ years hands-on with React and Redux (or equivalent front-end frameworks)
• 1+ year leadership experience managing and/or mentoring engineering teams
• Strong proficiency in React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
• Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and integration techniques
• Fluent English and strong communication skills
• California permanent resident status
