Frontend Engineer (Js, TypeScript)

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (Technical Lead) responsible for leading the architecture and delivery of scalable, high-performance front-end applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and implementation of complex features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Ensure code quality and maintainability via reusable components, atomic design, and comprehensive documentation.
• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with performance and security in mind.
• Drive frontend performance improvements (e.g., Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals, caching strategies).
• Provide architectural oversight for headless CMS integrations (Contentful/Optimizely/Sitecore/Sanity).
• Define/enforce best practices for responsive UI, cross-browser compatibility, and internationalization.
• Act as primary technical authority within the squad; guide the team through complex challenges.
• Own delivery stability end-to-end (planning through deployment).
• Conduct peer code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure development consistency.
• Mentor developers through pair programming, design sessions, and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate across design, backend, DevOps, and product to deliver seamless user experiences.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of professional frontend engineering experience.
• 4+ years of production experience with React.js and Next.js.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript proficiency.
• Experience scaling component libraries/design systems.
• Deep understanding of API integration patterns (REST and GraphQL).
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and Lighthouse.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with modern CI/CD and cloud deployment platforms (e.g., Vercel, Netlify, AWS).
• Hands-on experience with headless CMS platforms (Contentful/Optimizely/Sitecore/Sanity).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentorship skills.
