Frontend Engineer, Growth & Engagement Team

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer on Phantom’s Growth & Engagement team. You’ll build and iterate core experiences that help users discover value quickly, complete onboarding steps, and return more often across mobile and web.

Responsibilities

• Onboarding & Activation: Build and improve high-impact onboarding and first-session flows to maximize clarity, speed, usability, and reduce drop-off.
• Home & Discovery: Develop Home modules, ranking systems, and UI patterns that help users understand crypto activity and discover relevant actions, trends, and opportunities.
• Experimentation & Iteration: Make features experiment-ready from day one using:
  • feature flags
  • analytics instrumentation
  • staged rollouts
  • measurement frameworks
• Craft, Performance & Reliability: Maintain high frontend quality, performance, and polish; debug production issues; improve reliability and prevent regressions with testing and disciplined rollouts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Design, Backend, and Data to define product specs, event schemas, and success metrics; deliver fast and with high quality.
• Engineering Culture: Contribute via code reviews, technical mentorship, and pragmatic architecture/product tradeoff decisions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-time software engineering experience building production user-facing applications.
• Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Experience shipping polished consumer-facing product experiences.
• Strong product and engineering judgment to balance speed, quality, and measurement in a fast-moving environment.
• End-to-end feature delivery with experimentation/analytics tooling (feature flags, A/B testing, rollouts, instrumentation).
• Strong collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• React Native experience (strongly preferred).
• Interest in crypto, fintech, consumer products, or developer platforms.
