About the role

Frontend Engineer (Full Remote)

Join Drivetrain as a Frontend Engineer to build user interfaces for the company’s core platforms. You’ll collaborate with designers, product owners, and engineers to deliver elegant, accessible, responsive, and interactive UI.

Key missions

  • Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to create beautiful, accessible, interactive interfaces.
  • Turn UI/UX designs into prototypes and implement impressive interactions.
  • Build reusable frontend components.
  • Address frontend performance issues and help improve engineering team processes.
  • Work on complex frontend components, including a data visualization system for charts/tables.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain UI components with a focus on clean, maintainable, performance-conscious code.
  • Use browser developer tools for debugging (e.g., browser console).
  • Ship features quickly while maintaining high code quality.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years relevant experience as a web/UI/Frontend engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong attention to design and ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Debugging experience using browser console.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Java and AWS (plus, not mandatory).
  • Data structures skills.
