Frontend Developer (TypeScript, React.js)

Role Overview

Frontend Developer to provide technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for a client application. You’ll work in an Agile, sprint-based environment with a strong focus on accessibility, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the client application, ensuring availability and correct operation
• Implement development, accessibility, integration, and optimization improvements
• Deliver incremental improvements during Agile sprints
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate design mockups into functional web layouts
• Conduct accessibility testing and ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly
• Integrate RESTful APIs and other backend services into the frontend

Requirements

• 3+ years of frontend development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field, or 6 years equivalent experience
• Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
• Strong JavaScript development skills using modern standards and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue)
• Strong understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (automated and manual)
• Ability to consume RESTful APIs effectively
• Experience working in Agile sprint cycles
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub
• Ability to create web layouts from static images/views/templates within full-stack frameworks
• Preferred: knowledge of AWS, Python backend, and TypeScript frontend development

Additional Notes

• Due to federal contract work, employees may need to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and follow related safeguarding/compliance protocols.
• Remote work is available with occasional travel based on project needs.
