Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Front-End)

• Location: 100% remote
• Focus: Building and improving production-quality front-end applications

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test, document, release, and support production-quality software while improving scalability and maintaining velocity.
• Deliver new features and maintain existing functionality, including automated testing for quality.
• Participate in technical discussions by identifying opportunities and risks.
• Support delivery through code reviews, providing comprehensive feedback and guidance for complex problems.
• Monitor application performance in production and non-production environments; proactively debug and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the team to improve usability.
• Continuously improve internal processes and documentation with a principles-based approach to design, implementation, and testing.
• Continuously learn and adopt new tools/technologies.

Requirements (Minimum)

• 7+ years software engineering experience, including experience guiding/supporting team members.
• Strong experience building front-end applications with Angular v17+.
• Experience designing and developing scalable front-end solutions.
• Expertise in Angular architecture, component-based design, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience with technologies such as:
  • HTTP, REST APIs
  • distributed systems concepts (services, messaging, queues)
  • caching and working with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Angular web applications and JavaScript
• Advanced knowledge of professional engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including:
  • coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
• Strong communication skills and ability to distill complex concepts.

Nice to Have

• Experience with additional frameworks/languages such as Angular, C#, ASP.NET, .NET, and SQL.
• Familiarity with some of: ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, Dapper, Dependency Injection, NUnit/xUnit, Moq, Postman, Jest, Splunk, Datadog, Git.

Additional Information

• Citizenship: U.S. citizens or those authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship).
• Compensation: $125k–$140k + bonus (up to 8%), 401k with 3% match.
