Frontend Engineer (Contract, Part-time) — Remote

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Frontend Engineer to build and maintain scalable, user-friendly web applications in a remote-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain web interfaces using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance and scalability
• Apply frontend best practices: code reviews and continuous integration (CI)
• Translate complex requirements into clean, efficient, reusable components
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications for performance and UX
• Communicate clearly and proactively to support effective remote collaboration

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Proven ability to deliver production-ready web applications
• Strong skills in maintainable, standards-compliant code
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Ability to work autonomously while staying aligned with team goals
• Proven experience debugging complex frontend issues

Nice to Have

• Experience building accessible and responsive web applications
• Familiarity with distributed/remote-first engineering teams
• Knowledge of Agile and modern development workflows
