Role Overview

Contract, part-time Frontend Engineer (Remote)

You will design, build, and maintain scalable web interfaces, creating seamless and intuitive user experiences while collaborating with designers, product managers, and backend engineers in a remote-first team.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable frontend web interfaces using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize for speed and scalability
• Apply frontend best practices including code reviews and continuous integration
• Translate complex requirements into clean, efficient, reusable components
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications for performance and user satisfaction
• Communicate proactively and clearly to support strong remote collaboration

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Track record delivering production-ready web applications
• Ability to write clear, maintainable code and follow industry standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote work
• Ability to work autonomously while staying aligned to team goals
• Proven experience troubleshooting complex frontend issues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building accessible and responsive web applications
• Familiarity with distributed, remote-first engineering teams
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and modern development workflows
