Frontend Developer - Remote

Role Overview

Contract, part-time Frontend Engineer for a remote-first team. You’ll build scalable, intuitive web interfaces and collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain scalable web frontends using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver solutions
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize performance for speed and scalability
• Apply frontend engineering best practices, including code reviews and continuous integration (CI)
• Convert complex requirements into clean, efficient, reusable code components
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications for performance and user satisfaction
• Communicate clearly and proactively to support effective remote collaboration

Requirements

• Expert proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks
• Track record of delivering production-ready web applications
• Strong skills writing clear, maintainable code following industry standards
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously while aligned with team goals
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend issues

Nice to Have

• Experience building accessible and responsive web applications
• Familiarity with distributed, remote-first engineering teams
• Experience with Agile and modern development workflows
