About the role
Role Overview
Frontend Developer (Remote, W2 Contract) supporting a financial services team. You’ll build customer journey features for managing bank/credit accounts and be heavily involved in automated testing with Cypress.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using React, ensuring strong performance and UX.
- Build and maintain solutions that may include backend components as needed, using JavaScript.
- Apply software design principles to keep code maintainable and scalable.
- Use UML and related design practices for structured architecture and implementations.
- Provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for one or more domains.
- Define processes for data integration and data exchange models across on-prem and cloud systems, with attention to security, traceability, audit, performance, and risk.
- Collaborate with delivery and cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
- Design and develop secure, efficient custom software applications to improve end-user experience.
Requirements (Must Haves)
- 4+ years of development experience.
- Strong hands-on testing experience with Cypress, including leading integrations/implementations.
- Frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
- Vanilla JavaScript and/or experience with JavaScript frameworks.
- Git experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Haves (Implied/Additional)
- Exposure to microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Familiarity with architectural documentation and processes (e.g., roadmaps, domain strategies).
