Frontend Developer -React

Role overview

Frontend Developer (React) joining the Product Development Team. You’ll work with the Web Development Team and the Head of Technology to develop, enhance, and maintain web applications with a high degree of independence and influence over product direction.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on product tasks, balancing support (30%) and development (70%)
• Select, implement, and optimize tools/technologies to improve development workflows
• Design scalable, maintainable application architecture
• Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality and best practices
• Write clean, efficient, optimized code to deliver features
• Participate in planning sessions, sprint reviews, and technical discussions
• Stay up to date with industry trends and introduce improvements/innovations

Requirements

• 3+ years of web application development experience
• React expertise with 2+ years hands-on experience
• Strong understanding of OOP and functional programming design patterns
• Ability to build interactive, high-performance UI with React
• Experience with state management (e.g., Redux or Flux)
• Deep knowledge of CSS methodologies, optimization, and page rendering
• Proficiency with Git and platforms like GitHub/GitLab
• Experience with hooks and TypeScript architecture
• Solid understanding of REST and SOA principles
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript (ES6/ES7/ES8)
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice to have

• Experience with high-load projects
• Node.js development, Docker, Linux, Bash scripting
• Strong grasp of SOLID and distributed application design
