Frontend Developer

Role overview

Build and maintain user-facing web interfaces that support Maranatha.Farm’s digital presence and mission. You’ll work on responsive, accessible, performance-focused frontend features and improve an existing frontend codebase.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain responsive web layouts
• Optimize frontend performance
• Ensure accessibility across devices and browsers
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to implement requirements
• Translate needs into intuitive, visually appealing interfaces
• Integrate frontend components with APIs
• Improve UX and maintain/extend existing frontend codebases
• Follow best practices for security and maintainability

Requirements

• Strong frontend development skills with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Vue) and component-based architecture
• Proficiency in Responsive Web Design, HTML5, CSS3 (and preprocessors), and cross-browser compatibility
• Solid web/software fundamentals including Git, testing, and debugging
• Basic backend web concepts and experience integrating with APIs
• Experience building accessible, performant web interfaces and optimizing usability/UX
• Ability to work independently remotely; manage priorities and communicate clearly

Nice to have

• Interest in sustainability, regenerative agriculture, or environmental stewardship
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
