About the role
Role overview
Build and maintain user-facing web interfaces that support Maranatha.Farm’s digital presence and mission. You’ll work on responsive, accessible, performance-focused frontend features and improve an existing frontend codebase.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain responsive web layouts
- Optimize frontend performance
- Ensure accessibility across devices and browsers
- Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to implement requirements
- Translate needs into intuitive, visually appealing interfaces
- Integrate frontend components with APIs
- Improve UX and maintain/extend existing frontend codebases
- Follow best practices for security and maintainability
Requirements
- Strong frontend development skills with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or Vue) and component-based architecture
- Proficiency in Responsive Web Design, HTML5, CSS3 (and preprocessors), and cross-browser compatibility
- Solid web/software fundamentals including Git, testing, and debugging
- Basic backend web concepts and experience integrating with APIs
- Experience building accessible, performant web interfaces and optimizing usability/UX
- Ability to work independently remotely; manage priorities and communicate clearly
Nice to have
- Interest in sustainability, regenerative agriculture, or environmental stewardship
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent practical experience)
