About the role
Role Overview
Contract Frontend Developer (JavaScript) for a remote team. You will maintain and enhance web applications, building scalable frontend and backend components while ensuring strong performance and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize frontend components using JavaScript and React (and related libraries)
- Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express for RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate frontend and backend systems
- Write clean, modular, well-documented code using industry best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs
Required Skills
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with React
- Experience with Node.js and Express for backend/API development
- Familiarity with state management (Redux or Context API)
- HTML, CSS, and responsive design
- Working knowledge of Git
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest or Mocha)
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment
