Frontend Developer - Javascript (Remote)

Role Overview

Frontend Developer (JavaScript) — Remote contract role working from anywhere in the US. You will maintain and enhance web applications, building both frontend components and supporting backend REST API functionality.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize frontend components using JavaScript, React, and related libraries.
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and Express for RESTful APIs.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate frontend and backend systems.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code using industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.

Requirements

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), including modern frameworks such as React.
• Experience with Node.js and Express, including backend API development.
• Familiarity with state management (e.g., Redux or Context API).
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Mocha.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
