Role overview

Software Apps Engineer II / Frontend Developer (IMCS Group) — Remote (PST time zone only), 12-month duration. Join a small team where you’ll be key to delivery across web development initiatives using modern technologies and cloud systems.

Responsibilities

Work in an Agile environment shipping features frequently to drive user delight
Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and quality to move beyond the status quo
Ensure code quality through test development and code reviews
Build reusable components and libraries
Develop next-generation web applications for desktop and mobile browsers, focusing on:
- scalability, performance, accessibility
- cross-browser compatibility

Requirements

6–7 years of experience in frontend/software engineering processes and tooling
Strong frontend skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Node.js, Astro)
Ability to use GitHub and resolve merge/conflict issues
Understanding of server-side CSS preprocessing platforms such as LESS and SASS
Experience across architecture/design, implementation, and production support
Excellent written and verbal communication (plain-language explanations)
Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility issues and workarounds
Customer-focused mindset; works well with change and teams
Self-starter attitude and willingness to take on any tasks in a very small team

Nice to have

Drupal experience
Experience building high-performance, scalable, accessible web applications
