About the role

Role Overview

Frontend Developer supporting federal/DoD-aligned digital products. You’ll implement UI changes, ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508/WCAG), and optimize front-end performance across browsers.

Responsibilities

Implement UI, CSS, and formatting adjustments to improve user experience and consistency
Apply accessibility fixes (Section 508 / WCAG), including:
- semantic markup
- keyboard navigation
Make content-driven code changes, template adjustments, and component enhancements
Collaborate with UX, design, and content teams to translate requirements into responsive code
Perform cross-browser testing and troubleshoot rendering inconsistencies
Optimize page performance, asset delivery, and front-end load times

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of front-end development experience
Proven experience implementing UI changes and ensuring Section 508/WCAG compliance
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design
Familiarity with a front-end framework or component library and Git
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Web Development, or related field
Clearance requirement: Tier 2 Moderate Risk Public Trust (from any federal agency) or active Secret clearance (or higher)

Experience working in federal/DoD mission environments
Strong understanding of modern accessibility practices
