About the role

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer (Product Engineering)

Remote role with a requirement for timezone overlap with the Eastern Hemisphere. You’ll be a high-ownership IC working with a small frontend team to ship end-to-end features across web and mobile.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship complex, user-facing features across web and mobile using Angular + Ionic
  • Own features end-to-end: analyze the problem, propose/implement the approach, ship fast, then iterate based on real usage
  • Provide technical direction: advocate for better patterns, tooling, and developer experience
  • Partner with product and design to define solutions (not just execute specs)
  • Write clean, performant code with an emphasis on both quality and speed
  • Raise the team bar through code reviews, technical input, and leading by example
  • Use AI in daily engineering workflows (coding, debugging, automated code/design doc reviews) and contribute ideas to improve how it’s used

Requirements

  • 5+ years shipping complex, user-facing products in production (web + mobile ideal)
  • Strong product instincts and ability to challenge solutions that don’t fit users
  • Deep TypeScript fundamentals, including:
    • component architecture
    • state management
    • performance
  • Ability to operate independently and drive problems to completion
  • Pragmatic architectural judgment (balance architecture vs. shipping + learning)
  • Strong communication: articulate tradeoffs and advocate for your approach

Nice-to-haves / Additional Context

  • Experience ramping from React, Vue, or other modern frameworks is acceptable (they prioritize fundamentals over framework specifics)
  • Comfort with a small team and low-process, high-autonomy environment

Not a fit if...

  • You need heavy structure or guidance
  • You default to large rewrites instead of learning/shipping
  • You prioritize architectural purity over iteration and production learning from real users
