Frontend Developer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Developer to help evolve the hygi.de webshop. You’ll work within an existing system while contributing to longer-term initiatives, with a strong focus on user experience, performance, and modern frontend architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern, reusable frontend components that improve UX and speed up development.
• Build performant, responsive, and accessible user interfaces aligned with design and usability standards.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and ensure smooth communication.
• Maintain high engineering quality through code reviews, documentation, and adherence to architectural best practices.
• Analyze and optimize performance, usability, and technical SEO.
• Collaborate with design, backend, and product management teams to deliver solutions.
• Stay current with frontend technologies and industry trends to improve development practices.

Required Qualifications

• Strong frontend fundamentals: HTML, CSS (CSS3 and SCSS).
• Proficiency with Vue.js or React.
• Component-based architecture knowledge.
• Performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Version control: Git.
• Build tooling: Webpack, Vite, Encore.
• Dependency management: npm, yarn, or pnpm.
• Responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and technical SEO.

Nice-to-Haves

• Accessibility standards knowledge: WCAG 2.2.
• REST and/or GraphQL API familiarity.
• Basic system architecture concepts.
