About the role
Role Overview
Frontend Developer for an e-commerce platform, focused on building and improving customer-facing web experiences using React and Next.js. You’ll work in an autonomous environment with business stakeholders and marketing teams to translate requirements into effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance frontend features for a large-scale e-commerce platform
- Build responsive, user-friendly, high-performing web experiences with React and Next.js
- Collaborate with marketing and business stakeholders to deliver the right solutions
- Drive frontend improvements, optimizations, and new functionality across the platform
- Contribute to technical decisions and frontend best practices
- Work independently while maintaining regular communication with the Engineering Manager and business teams
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Strong commercial experience with React.js and Next.js
- Proven experience working on e-commerce platforms/online shops
- Solid JavaScript and modern frontend development expertise
- Ability to independently take ownership of features from concept to delivery
- Experience collaborating with non-technical stakeholders (especially marketing teams)
- Strong communication skills in English
Nice-to-Have
- German language skills
- Experience working in international and distributed teams
- Understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce customer journeys
Offer
- 100% remote work
- Onboarding trip to Salzburg, Austria
- B2B contract with rate 120–160 PLN/h + VAT (depending on experience/seniority)
- High autonomy and ownership; potential to extend beyond an initial 3-month engagement
