About the role
Role Overview
Frontend Developer (Remote) for a 4+ month engagement. You will build and launch a modern “front door” homepage that serves as a central hub to showcase services, containerization benefits, DevSecOps tools, and runbooks/documentation (modeled after DoD platform front doors like Platform One).
Responsibilities
- Partner with a UX/UI designer to translate high-fidelity mockups and clickable prototypes into the final website design.
- Build and enhance the portal UI (likely using Angular).
- Integrate the UI with backend APIs/services such as:
- service catalog
- documentation sources
- tool links
- Contribute to GitLab CI/CD pipelines to support streamlined deployment automation.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Platform Engineering, Automation, Modern solutions engineering) to present the tools and content each team owns.
Required Qualifications
- Experience building web applications with modern frameworks; Angular preferred.
- Experience deploying applications to Kubernetes (K8s) and/or using GitLab Pages.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD for build/release workflows.
- Strong understanding of API integration, authentication patterns, and production support.
Clearance
- Secret security clearance or higher.
