About the role

Role Overview

Frontend Developer responsible for technical support, maintenance, and enhancements for a critical client application. You’ll ensure the app is accessible, reliable, and delivers optimal performance in an Agile, sprint-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for maintenance and enhancements of the client application
  • Develop and implement new features with accessibility and responsive design across devices
  • Optimize performance and reliability to support high availability
  • Collaborate in Agile sprint planning and delivery with cross-functional teams (development, integration, testing)
  • Deploy and manage application components using AWS cloud services
  • Consume and integrate RESTful APIs to improve application functionality
  • Ensure Section 508 and WCAG compliance through testing and validation
  • Maintain version control and document code changes
  • Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning

Requirements

  • 3+ years frontend development experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT (or 3 additional years experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript standards, frameworks, and libraries
  • Understanding of Section 508 and WCAG accessibility standards
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools (automated and manual)
  • Ability to consume RESTful APIs
  • Hands-on Agile/sprint development experience
  • Proficiency with Git/GitHub
  • Ability to create web layouts from static images/views/templates within full-stack frameworks
  • Knowledge of AWS; familiarity with Python (backend) and TypeScript (frontend)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams

  • Experience on federal projects handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and related safeguarding/compliance protocols
