Front End Web and Mobile Software Developer (Remote)

Role Overview

Front-End Web & Mobile Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, responsive, and scalable web/mobile customer experience platforms. You’ll focus on Optimizely CMS, modern JavaScript frameworks, cross-platform mobile development, and secure authentication/API integration for healthcare-regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

Web, CMS & Front-End Development

• Develop and maintain Optimizely CMS (Episerver) solutions, including reusable components, page templates, and content-driven experiences.
• Build responsive, accessible, high-performance UIs using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Implement front-end applications using React, Vue.js, and/or Angular.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile-first design.
• Work with Microsoft .NET Razor Pages and MVC/MVVM patterns (as applicable).

Mobile Development

• Build cross-platform mobile applications using React Native (or other frameworks).
• Share design patterns and business logic between web and mobile where appropriate.
• Collaborate with designers and product teams to deliver intuitive mobile experiences.

Security & Identity

• Implement JWT-based authentication and authorization for web and mobile apps.
• Integrate with Azure Entra External ID (CIAM) for external identity and auth flows.
• Secure API communication using access/refresh tokens and role-/claims-based access control.
• Apply front-end security best practices to mitigate XSS, CSRF, and token leakage.
• Adhere to healthcare regulations (including HIPAA) and perform regular security audits.

API Integration & Tooling

• Consume and integrate RESTful APIs securely.
• Use Postman to test and debug APIs and token/auth flows.
• Collaborate with back-end teams to define API contracts and error-handling standards.

Quality, Performance & Collaboration

• Optimize for performance, accessibility (WCAG), SEO, and scalability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions.
• Troubleshoot front-end/mobile/API issues across environments.
• Maintain and produce documentation for architecture, design principles, and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4+ years as a Front-End web and mobile developer building responsive web and mobile solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
