Front End Software Engineer (Js, UI)

Role Overview

Front-End Software Engineer to design, code, and support multiple web sites and web applications with a strong emphasis on user experience and functionality. The role is described as hybrid or remote and involves integrating front-end UI with back-end services.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement website layouts and user interfaces using HTML/CSS
• Build well-structured, efficient, and testable code following best practices
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs/errors in web applications
• Integrate data from back-end services and databases
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to match visual and functional requirements
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive behavior across devices
• Implement web application security measures and session management
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay current with modern web development trends and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a front-end developer / UX designer / related role
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ECMAScript)
• Hands-on experience with React and Material UI
• Understanding of web application security, session management, and secure coding practices
• Experience integrating web apps with back-end services and databases
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with GIS and mapping services
