About the role

Role Overview

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an experienced Front End Software Engineer to build user-centric web applications and tools for mission-critical systems. The role coordinates with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to deliver a seamless experience and to ensure accessibility across browsers, platforms, and devices.

Responsibilities

Develop front-end functionality using React to support efficient, user-focused workflows
Coordinate with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to create seamless experiences
Guide a development team by learning new tools and techniques, and identifying system improvements
Ensure accessibility requirements are met and the UI works across devices and platforms
Integrate with APIs and address security/accessibility requirements
Mentor teammates through positive code reviews and ongoing learning

Requirements

5+ years of front-end software development experience with web development stacks including: React and JavaScript/CSS (and/or related stacks such as Python, Node.js, Next.js)
Experience gathering user requirements to inform UI designs
Ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative, cross-functional team
Knowledge of API integration
TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree

Nice to Have

Kubernetes or other container orchestration experience
AWS cloud technologies experience
Infrastructure as code with Terraform
Experience using automated testing tools

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to security investigation; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
