Front-End Software Developer - Remote (WFH)

Role Overview

Cognitive Medical Systems is hiring a Front-End Software Developer for a 100% remote role. You’ll build responsive, user-centric web interfaces and ensure smooth integration with back-end logic. While your primary focus is front-end, the company values developers who understand the full stack and can use modern automation/AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Use jQuery and vanilla JavaScript to create engaging UX and handle complex DOM manipulation.
• Write clean, scalable, maintainable code compatible across browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with designers and back-end developers to turn wireframes into working features.
• Ensure UI/UX designs are technically feasible and optimize for speed and scalability.
• Design, write, unit test, and document application code, including customized forms and workflows.
• Read, interpret, and produce documentation such as reports, requirements, user stories, detailed design documents, and client correspondence.
• Participate in software design/architecture discussions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related software development experience.
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and jQuery.
• Expert knowledge of CSS (including Sass/Less) and semantic HTML.
• Deep understanding of mobile-first development and framework-agnostic styling.
• Proficiency with Git.
• Experience developing APIs and REST web services.
• US citizenship with ability to pass a government background check.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C# (.NET) or Node.js for full-stack integration.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Experience working with LLMs, prompt engineering, or integrating AI APIs into web interfaces.
