Front End or Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Frontend or Full Stack Software Engineer to join an early-stage team. You’ll help build intuitive web interfaces for complex tasks, collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, and contribute to shipping reliable features in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy frontend solutions
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code using React
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
• Work with backend engineers to integrate frontend components with server-side logic and system design
• Use Git to manage and maintain codebases
• Follow security best practices to reduce vulnerabilities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Proven TypeScript frontend experience with modern frameworks, preferably React 18+ with hooks and custom hooks
• Strong TypeScript fundamentals (e.g., generics, type inference, discriminated unions, utility types, type guards)
• Experience with state management and React Router for client-side routing
• Testing experience, e.g. Cypress
• Experience working in well-architected large codebases and using common abstraction patterns
• Ability to collaborate on UX for complex tasks
• Familiarity with modern code review processes and tools
• Proficiency with Git and CSS
• Understanding of security best practices
• Strong communication skills; can work independently and collaboratively

Nice to Have

• Backend experience or willingness to learn
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Familiarity with databases, especially MongoDB
