About the role

Role Overview

Join ABSC as a Front End Engineer (UI/UX) to develop and maintain sophisticated web applications for the DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP)—a next-generation AI-enabled platform for data enrichment, triage, and analytics supporting Defense and Intelligence Community partners.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using React and Python frameworks.
Design and refine UI/UX to deliver intuitive user experiences.
Write and run unit tests using automated tooling to ensure robustness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve performance and usability.
Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality.
Use virtualization tooling (e.g., Docker and Podman) for development/deployment workflows.
Debug and troubleshoot issues across front-end and back-end components.
Stay current with emerging front-end technologies and apply best practices.
Support integration with backend web API services and NoSQL datastores as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience (4–8 years).
2+ years of experience with modern front-end libraries such as React and/or Angular.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Understanding of HTTP web requests and fetching JSON data.
Experience with coding, testing, and debugging web applications.
Experience with Docker and/or Podman.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain CI polygraph.
Excellent verbal/written communication and ability to produce well-documented code.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using Agile practices.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience integrating front-end with web APIs and NoSQL datastores.
Demonstrated UI/UX collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
