Front End Engineer, Sr.

Role overview

Join the Workflow Platform team as a Senior Frontend Engineer working on a product used by real users in the wealth-tech space. The platform automates complex, multi-step business processes (e.g., report reviews, billing cycles, and compliance checks), and this role focuses on expanding and refining the frontend experience for workflows, task management, and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend the frontend for the Workflow Platform to support automation for wealth advisors
• Build workflow visualization, task management interfaces, and monitoring dashboards (e.g., workflow status, run history, blocked steps)
• Use the Addepar Product Language (APL) component library to deliver consistent, high-quality UI
• Create human-in-the-loop UI components for manual reviews, approvals, and user actions within workflows
• Ensure workflow states and in-app notifications are accurately reflected and integrated
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver incremental improvements while maintaining high engineering standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development
• Proven production experience with React
• Experience building component-driven UIs, design systems, or internal UI libraries
• Strong problem-solving skills and sound technical judgment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfort in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and urgency
• Ownership mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement

Nice to have

• Familiarity with other frontend frameworks such as Ember or Svelte
• Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, wealth tech, or data-intensive products
• Experience with workflow/process automation tooling (e.g., Temporal, n8n)
• Knowledge of cloud environments, preferably AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development
