About the role
Role Overview
Senior Frontend Engineer for the Workflow Platform team on a long-standing partner’s wealth-tech and data platform. You’ll develop and extend frontend functionality for a product that automates complex business processes such as report reviews, billing cycles, and compliance checks—impacting workflows, task management, and monitoring/observability tools used by wealth advisors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and extend the frontend for the Workflow Platform to help wealth advisors automate and manage complex business processes
- Build visualization components, task management interfaces, and monitoring views (e.g., workflow status, run history, blocked steps)
- Use the Addepar Product Language (APL) component library to deliver consistent, high-quality UIs
- Create human-in-the-loop UI components for manual review and approval within workflows
- Ensure tasks are surfaced via in-app notifications and integrate with workflow execution states
- Collaborate with product designers, engineering managers, and engineers to refine requirements and deliver incremental improvements
- Participate in technical discussions, tradeoff analyses, and planning under delivery deadlines
- Write maintainable, testable code and document technical decisions
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with frontend specialization
- Strong production experience with React
- Component-driven UI development experience and familiarity with design systems or internal UI libraries
- Solid modern development practices including CI/CD and cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working remotely with evolving priorities and ambiguity
- Interest in using AI tools to enhance development workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with other frontend frameworks such as Ember and Svelte
- Experience with workflow tools/task management/process automation products (e.g., Temporal, n8n)
- Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, wealth tech, or other data-intensive products
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary component systems and internal UI languages
