Front End Engineer (React.js, UX)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Staff Front End Engineer for our Web Visualization Tooling team. You will build and maintain critical web tooling and visualization systems that support machine learning feedback loops and help improve autonomous vehicle performance and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Define and promote web development standards and best practices across teams
• Architect and scale a modern, high-performance frontend ecosystem using React, TypeScript, and Vue
• Collaborate with ML, UX, data services, and data annotation teams to deliver aligned tooling
• Build and maintain mission-critical internal UI systems
• Design UX for complex, data-heavy workflows and visualization tools
• Drive performance optimization, scalability, and maintainability
• Ship features quickly and iterate based on feedback in a product-driven environment
• Mentor junior engineers and delegate to improve team productivity
• Work with customers to identify needs and craft effective solutions
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and high code quality

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architecture
• Experience with Vue.js
• Solid understanding of UX principles and usability
• Ability to work independently with high ownership
• Strong organizational and learning skills
• Effective interpersonal skills; able to mentor and delegate
• Experience designing complex, data-heavy workflows and visualization tools
• Demonstrated technical design and documentation habits
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and customers

Nice to Have / Bonus

• Project management expertise and familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Exposure to backend systems such as Node.js and Python
• Experience in game development or 3D visualization
