About the role
Role Overview
We’re seeking a Staff Front End Engineer to lead front-end development strategy for a core product team. You’ll partner with backend and mobile engineers to build elegant, high-performance, scalable user interfaces for a healthcare marketplace platform.
Responsibilities
- Act as the front-end technical lead within cross-functional agile teams.
- Drive architecture decisions and establish coding standards for scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver accessible, performant, engaging UI.
- Write high-quality, testable code and perform thorough code reviews.
- Champion adoption of modern front-end technologies and development patterns.
- Mentor other engineers via knowledge sharing, reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Continuously improve performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and UX.
- Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovations into the product.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- 3+ years deep expertise with React, including state management, animations, and Webpack.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript proficiency.
- Proven experience architecting and leading complex, interactive web applications.
- Passion for design systems, performance optimization, and excellent UX.
- Experience mentoring and fostering a collaborative engineering environment.
- Understanding of scalability and performance across browsers and devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with React Native.
