Front End Engineer (React.js, Next.js)

Role Overview

Lead Front End Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the company’s marketing website for Capital One Software.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain the marketing website using React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS for performance and scalability
• Collaborate with design teams to implement pixel-perfect UI components
• Integrate third-party services including analytics, a headless CMS, Marketo Forms, and A/B testing tools
• Set up and run staging/production deployment processes
• Translate marketing and campaign/product goals into technical solutions
• Optimize for Core Web Vitals, SEO, and web accessibility
• Govern and improve engineering workflows (branching strategies, incident response) and deployment/ops processes
• Monitor website performance and iterate to improve user experience
• Maintain documentation and ensure quality through code reviews and testing

Requirements

• 4+ years professional software engineering experience (internship experience not applicable)
• 1+ year experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js (including App Router, server components, SSG/SSR)
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, including responsive and accessible component design
• Experience integrating with headless CMS platforms and third-party APIs
• Proven ability to work with marketing/design stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• 3+ years with Contentful CMS or similar
• Familiarity with Figma and ShadCn UI
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
