Front-End Engineer

Role Overview

InAir is seeking a Front-End Engineer (React) to build front-end-heavy, app-like UI on top of structured data—especially Airtable Custom Interfaces. You’ll translate product requirements into clean, scalable interfaces while working closely with PMs and Solutions Consultants.

Responsibilities

• Build Airtable Custom Interfaces: Create app-like interfaces and workflows on top of Airtable data.
• Develop end-to-end UI features using React + TypeScript.
• Bridge design & engineering by turning UI/UX into functional, polished components with attention to detail.
• Integrate SDKs & APIs: Connect the front end to data sources and work with a 3rd-party SDK (details provided during the process).
• Create reusable components: Define UI patterns, components, and standards to speed delivery.
• Ship iteratively in small, high-quality increments and incorporate feedback quickly.
• Communicate in English-first environments during technical meetings and async collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong React experience building functional, responsive front-end applications.
• Proficient TypeScript and comfortable working in typed, scalable codebases.
• UI engineering mindset with a focus on UX polish (loading states, edge cases, performance).
• API/SDK integration skills, able to read documentation and integrate external SDKs.
• Architecture & data thinking: understand data models and how data flows into the UI.
• Proven end-to-end delivery: shipped real features/applications (not just isolated components).
• Clear written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building Airtable Custom Interfaces or internal tools on Airtable.
• Familiarity with Airtable relational/linked data models (linked records, rollups, lookups).
• Experience with design systems or reusable UI component libraries.
• Basic testing experience with Playwright/Cypress.
• Familiarity with internal tools platforms (e.g., Retool, Superblocks).
