Front End Engineer III - Cloud Detection Engine (Hybrid)

Role Overview

Front End Engineer III (Cloud Detection Engine) at CrowdStrike, building and maintaining the user interface for the Falcon platform. You’ll help deliver a high-quality, always-on experience for customers managing cloud threat views and related detection content.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the product team in building single-page applications in Ember while staying hands-on with coding
• Use technical expertise to drive sound decisions across engineering, product direction, and design
• Take initiative to create or update tools that improve the team’s development experience
• Write automated tests for frontend code
• Collaborate closely with UX Engineers, Cloud Engineers, UX Designers, UX Writers, and technical stakeholders

Key Responsibilities (Ownership)

• Take full ownership of delivering and driving the technical aspects of the frontend
• Participate in heavy design/UX collaboration, including with Figma
• Help define architecture and coordinate with stakeholders on scope and priorities

Requirements

• Experience building frontend single-page applications (Ember emphasized; React/Angular/Vue familiarity helpful)
• Strong focus on user needs and solving dynamic, unique frontend problems
• Ability to collaborate across product/design/engineering functions

Nice-to-haves / Preferred

• Familiarity with Ember or willingness to ramp up quickly
• Experience in an environment that supports evergreen browsers and modern web platform capabilities
• Mentoring and contributing to team/product direction (implied by role expectations)

Work Model

• Hybrid: 2–3 days per week on-site in New York, NY after a development center is established
• Distributed, remote-first, high-trust environment
