About the role
Role Overview
Join CrowdStrike as a Front End Engineer (Hybrid) to build Kestrel, the next generation of CrowdStrike’s platform UI. You’ll create engaging, data-driven experiences that unify security data across domains, streamline access to critical information, and allow users to personalize their experience by role.
Responsibilities
- Execute the front-end engineering architecture strategy with flexibility, scalability, security, and performance in mind
- Design, build, and maintain a single-page application (SPA) framework
- Participate in code reviews for your work and other UI engineers’ code
- Use technical expertise to guide decisions across engineering and product/UI design
- Take initiative to build tools that improve the team’s development experience
- Maintain code quality by writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Collaborate with UX/UI, QA, Product, Data/API, and other multidisciplinary teams
- Continuously learn about both cybersecurity challenges and front-end engineering complexities
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of modern web standards and front-end tooling, including:
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- TypeScript
- Ember CLI, Node/NPM, Webpack
- Responsive UI
- Experience building user-centric, scalable UI design systems using atomic design principles
- Understanding of cloud technologies and end-to-end delivery for data-intensive SaaS products
- Accessibility (a11y) experience, including keyboard navigation, screen readers, and WCAG
- Internationalization (i18n) experience
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Ember, React, Angular, Vue, Lit, or similar
Nice-to-Haves
- Additional cybersecurity domain knowledge and strong ability to visualize patterns and navigate threats using complex data
